John Carpenter is Co-Writing a One-Shot ‘Joker’ Comic Book for DC This Halloween!
Announced today by DC Comics, this year’s “Year of the Villain” event will be spawning a solo one-shot comic for The Joker this October with The Joker: Year of the Villain # 1, a 40-page comic written by Anthony Burch (Borderlands 2) and, get this… JOHN CARPENTER!
The “Year of the Villain” event centers on Lex Luthor recruiting various DC villains, and the plot synopsis for the one-shot co-written by John Carpenter is as follows:
“This puts The Joker on a mission to get his swagger back in a world gone bad by out-badding everyone else, proving that the greatest evil is always the one that leaves them laughing.”
“The Joker is the greatest villain in comics. I’m proud to be reunited with Anthony on this project,” said Carpenter, who worked with Burch on Big Trouble in Little China: Old Man Jack.
