Greg Capullo Signs New DC Contract, Announces Next Project with Scott Snyder
Posted by Jude Terror August 10, 2019
Batman: Last Night on Earth may be the last Batman story by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, but that doesn’t mean this dynamic duo are done working together. Capullo took to Twitter on Saturday to announce that he has re-upped his EX-X-XCLUSIVE contract with DC Comics. And it looks like he’s already got big plans, as he announced he’ll be working with Snyder on the pair’s “biggest adventure yet.”

We know that DC’s Year of the Villain is leading toward an even bigger event in 2020. What could be bigger than acetate covers? Maybe a line-wide DC Crisis event with Snyder and Capullo involved? Or maybe Dark Nights: Metal 2? Or are they the same thing?
We may learn more about that at New York Comic Con this Fall, but for now, fans can be content to know that that artist and writer who go together like peanut butter and jelly will continue to work together for the foreseeable future. Until then, there’s still plenty of time to catch up on the first two issues of Batman: Last Night on Earth.
BATMAN LAST KNIGHT ON EARTH #1 (OF 3) (MR)
MAR190458
(W) Scott Snyder (A) Jonathan Glapion (A/CA) Greg Capullo
Bruce Wayne wakes up in Arkham Asylum. Young. Sane.
And…he was never Batman.
So begins this sprawling tale of the Dark Knight as he embarks on a quest through a devastated DC landscape featuring a massive cast of familiar faces from the DC Universe. As he tries to piece together the mystery of his past, he must unravel the cause of this terrible future and track down the unspeakable force that destroyed the world as he knew it…
From the powerhouse creative team of writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo, the team that reinvented Batman from the emotional depths of “Court of Owls” to the bombastic power of DARK NIGHTS: METAL, DC Black Label is proud to present the bimonthly, three-issue miniseries BATMAN: LAST KNIGHT ON EARTH, published at DC’s standard comic trim size.
This could be the last Batman story ever told…

About Jude Terror
A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.
Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
